Looks like Edelbrock stepped up to the plate and created something that will get the hot rod society excited. From the looks of these, it appears they may have used some old molds to create a new breath of fresh air. No more rebuilding what has been rebuilt 100 times over. Now...lets see what the new price is going to be. Im sure its over $30, which is the normal price for an old one!

From the new catalog insert, they will be offering complete intake setups for SBC and Flathead engines starting at $1400.

Pep Boys Opening Speed Shop

Pep Boys is celebrating the grand opening of a brand new concept store in Los Angeles. The company is bringing back what it refers to as the “good old fashioned” speed shop from yesteryear to support the performance enthusiast market.

The goal of the new store is to provide one-stop shopping for performance parts and equipment with a huge selection of in-stock items. Whether customers are interested in muscle, tuner, off-road or performance diesel, Pep Boys will offer a huge selection of in-stock performance parts and accessories.

To celebrate the opening of the first Pep Boys Speed Shop, located at 1200 West Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, the company is hosting grand opening festivities on Saturday, May 30 (9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) and Sunday, May 31 (10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.)

'Homemade' Speed'

I was out and about visiting some friends and picking up parts for my current project when I was shown this cool vintage home made flathead intake. Its made completely out of steel, dual stromberg buick 2 barrel carbs, and custom linkage. The missing center section is a bolt on flange that has provions for the "missing" exhaust ports for better breathing.
